This is a 25 pound king salmon who took a cut bait rig with flasher in about 75 feet of water off of a dipsey diver set deep and bumping botton. Due to the fact the fall LOC derby was still in progress fishing was slow as the fish were really boat and rigger shy but we managed to boat 3 kings this day all about the same 20 to 25 pounds
Pictured here is Raymond Martin of Elmira, NY with a nice king salmon caught on cut bait rig with a white flasher. This was on a September 2000 trip to Point Breeze on Lake Ontario which was during the fall LOC tournament.

Soon these fish will start to migrate up the local streams to spawn and thats when the fun begins. Usually around mid september to mid October you can find some salmon in the Lake Ontario tribs as well as brown trout and steelhead.
