Rather than running across the lake in a high powered bassboat, we offer you the opportunity to scan the skies for resident eagles, enjoy cruising kayakers in their colorful kayaks, and watch local creatures come to the water’s edge for their sip of clear, clean water. And --- you can catch fish, too. You’ll have the opportunity to fish for smallmouth and largemouth bass, and panfish. |

| Cayuga Lake trips produce good catches of brown, rainbow, and lake trout and landlocked salmon. The spring of the year is best for surface fishing for landlocked salmon and brown trout. Planer boards and shallow running lures are used as the fish are seeking warmer waters. Late May and early June tend to be slower fishing. Mid-summer requires fishing depths of up to 125 feet. Electric downriggers with a variety of terminal tackle are used when the fish are holding in this deep water. Sonar and temperature probes are used to position the lures in water most likely to hold feeding fish. Good catches of rainbow and lake trout are obtained throughout the summer and fall. On any given day any combination of fish may be caught. |

Lamoka and Waneta Lake Fishing Charters |
|
Waneta and Lamoka Lakes are located between Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Both lakes were formed by the same glaciers that formed the Finger Lakes, but on a much smaller scale. Sometimes know as the minor or baby Finger Lakes, they are not deep enough to support a trout fishery, but are a fantastic warm water habitat. Both lakes are linked by a canal that is right on County Route 23. The DEC has a launch for each lake one on each side of the road. These two lakes are very popular with bass fisherman and can be very crowded on the weekends. Both lakes have substantial fish populations comprised by the following species of fish. Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, Muskellunge, Yellow Perch, Rock Bass, Pumpkinseeds, Bluegills, Black and White Crappies, Brown Bullhead, Red Bellied Sunfish, Catfish, and Carp. Golden Shiners and Alewife (sawbelly) constitute the main forage base. This is one of the few relatively shallow lakes with such a forage base and is partly responsible for the fantastic growth rate these fish have. Muskies of over 40 pounds have been taken here and bass near the 10 pound mark are caught here as well. |

Finger Lakes Streams |
The Finger Lakes region contains many streams with native brown trout, brook trout, and rainbow trout populations. The Finger Lakes tributaries also recieve runs of trout and landlocked salmon in the spring and the fall. Other streams in the area such as Cohocton River and Cayuta Creek are stocked each year but have many fish that are hold overs from previous stockings and they are now having a lot of success spawing naturaly. These two streams have recieved a lot of attention in recent national fishing publications. |
