Otsego Lake is about 8 miles long. The lake has a maximum depth of about 167 feet. At the south end of the lake is the village of Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. The lake has very limited access an does not receive excessive fishing pressure which increases your chance of catching that trophy fish. Fish species available include panfish, pickerel and smallmouth bass and walleye. While trout and salmon are still present in the lake it is becoming more of a warmwater fishery for bass and walleye. |
