The Oswego Harbor is a commercial shipping port. It is also the gateway to the NYS Barge Canal, better known as the Erie Canal. Its sheltered waters offer fisherman a refuge on those days when the lake is a bit to rough to venture out on. Fishing the Oswego Harbor can really produce some amazing results. In the spring it offers a fantastic fishery for brown trout and steelhead. In the summer bass and walleye fisherman are here in large numbers. As the summer nears it end usually in mid September the salmon will collect up in the harbor prior to the fall run. Once they have become concentrated in the harbor they offer anglers a wonderful fishing opportunity. The Oswego area of Lake Ontario has produced a World Record Coho Salmon as well as the New York State Record Brown Trout . Stephen M. Sheets of Woolrich, Pa., caught the record breaking coho that weighed in at 33.45 pounds on August 13, 1998. Tony Brown of Schenectady, NY caught the new state record brown of 33-pounds, 2-ounces on June 10, 1997. Both of these fantastic fish were taken by clients of local charter captains. |

Captain Troy is a member of the Daiwa, Luhr Jensen, Mustad, Pro-Troll, Okuma, Gamma, and Dreamweaver pro-staffs. He has won several major derbies and guided his client, Kurt Killian, to the NY state record Chinook Salmon in 1991. Captain Troy is an active member of the NYS Fisheries Congress, Lake Ontario Salmon & Trout Association, Lake Ontario Sportfishing Stakeholders Coalition, NYS Outdoor Writers Association and a board of director of the National Marine Charter Association. He has served as president of the Oswego County River Guides Association and coordinator for the Oswego County Pro-Am Tournament and is editor of Lake Ontario Outdoors Magazine. |

We offer guided drift boat and stream-side wade fishing trips year-round for Salmon, Steelhead, Walleye, and Trout whether fly-fishing or spin fishing. From ice out until the Salmon enter the river we fish Lake Ontario in our 24' Thompson for Brown, Walleye, Steelhead and Coho and Chinook Salmon. We also offer charters on Oneida Lake for Walleye. |

| Captain Kevin Davis will fish all over the state including the Oswego, Salmon, and Genesee Rivers as well as numerous tributaries. It all depends on client preference, the weather, and what is being caught at the time. I receive "2" new Hyde drift boats every year. One is a custom designed boat with a motor through the hull which enables me to fish in many areas that are unobtainable by other guides. All equipment is provided which includes custom built Loomis rods. |
