Pictured here is Joey Bud and Richie Beiber they were enjoying a fantastic day of fishing aboard the Party Boat Capt. Mike These big fluke weighed in at 9 pounds 15 ounces and 5 pounds 2 ounces. The fish were caught on sea robbin belly and squid on the bottom in about 20 feet of water. The location was across from Carnarsie Pole, a small island in Jamaica Bay. Captain Mike Cannon the skipper on the Capt. Mike knows how to find the big ones.

The Capt. Mike is a spacious 70 foot supercruiser operating out of Jamaica Bay. It is US Coast Gaurd Inspected, and is able to accomodate 70 passengers! The Capt. Mike is equipped with all the latest fishfinding and safety equipment available. They offer seperate mens and womans accommodations. A full restaurant serving both hot and cold food, giant spacious enclosed cabin, color television, VCR and a stereo system throughout boat.

A day of fishing aboard the Capt. Mike is a fun, relaxing way to spend your day All are welcome from beginners to experts. Families are not only welcomed, they are encouraged. Capt. Mike also offers Free Dockside Parking, Free Rods and Reels on all trips. Most forms of bait are provided for whatever species is being sought after by the boat.

Jamaica Bay ranges in depth from 3 to 12 feet, but has been dredged for navigation and can be up to 50 feet deep in spots, but on average depth is less than 10 feet deep. Due to the shallow nature of the bay it warms very quickly in the spring and is a magnet to all species of fish and birds alike. Some of the fish you may encounter on a trip to the bay include Fluke, Stripers, Weakfish, Bluefish, Bonito, Spanish Mackerel, Tautog, Seabass, False Albacore and Skipjack Tuna.
