Eleven year old daughter Demi Speranza single handedly caught this huge Bluefish while surf fishing on Rockaway Beach in Queens, N.Y. The big bluefish was fooled by a chunk of bunker. After a fierce battle Demi was able to beach the monster bluefish and have a picture taken to preserve the moment forever. When surf fishing anglers fishing from the beaches of Long Island may encounter the following species of fish, striped bass, bluefish, fluke, flounder, porgies, and sea bass. Surf fisherman may use lures and various forms of bait including sand worms, clams, squid and bunker chunks. |
