Pictured here is Tim Blackwell from Corning, NY. On July 29, 2004 he and his buddies were fishing on Seneca Lake For smallmouth bass. They were fishing just below Lodi Point When he caught this big northern pike. He was using a 4 and half inch Gene Larew Fat Tail Tube. The bass and pike fishing has been Good all summer and provides a great alternative to those days when the trout and salmon have lockjaw.

  Fishing Derbies on Seneca Lake include the National Lake Trout Derby which is held every Memorial Day weekend on Seneca Lake. New this year was the Red Cross Fishing Derby which was a big hit with fisherman. Many fishing clubs have their own contest for bass, trout and perch here as well.

  Seneca Lake offers some great fishing, camping, boating, hunting, biking, hiking, and even cross country skiing opportunities. Here are a few of the wonderful state parks available to the public for access to the crown jewel of the Finger Lakes otherwise known as Seneca Lake.
